Outdoor Blackboard with Teaching Clock

This weatherproof outdoor Blackboard chalkboard with clock combines creative play with time-telling education. The smooth chalk-writing surface encourages drawing and writing outdoors whilst the integrated clock teaches children to read time. Mount it to your play frame, garden fence or outdoor wall to create an interactive learning space.

The board measures 60cm wide by 50cm high – large enough for multiple children to use simultaneously but compact enough to fit most garden settings. The 3cm depth provides durability without excessive weight that might stress mounting surfaces.

Interactive Teaching Clock

The clock features movable hands that children adjust manually to practice telling time. Parents and teachers use the clock to demonstrate different times, asking children to set specific hours. This hands-on approach helps children understand clock mechanics better than static learning tools.

The clock hands move smoothly and stay in position once set. Children won’t accidentally knock them whilst drawing on the surrounding blackboard area. The clock face includes clear number markings that remain visible even after extended outdoor exposure.

Weatherproof Construction for Irish Gardens

Irish weather tests outdoor play equipment constantly. This blackboard withstands rain, wind and temperature changes without warping or deteriorating. The materials resist moisture penetration that causes cheaper boards to swell or delaminate.

The weatherproof finish protects the blackboard surface from Irish damp. Rain doesn’t erase chalk marks immediately, giving children time to finish their artwork before wet weather arrives. However, the surface cleans easily with water when you want to start fresh.

The board maintains its smooth writing surface through seasons of outdoor use. Chalk glides across the surface consistently without catching on rough patches that develop on inferior outdoor blackboards.

Simple Wall Mounting

Four wood screws come included for straightforward installation. Mount the board to wooden play frames, timber fences, shed walls or any suitable vertical surface. The mounting points distribute weight evenly, creating a secure attachment that won’t sag or loosen over time.

Installation takes approximately 10-15 minutes with basic tools. Position the board at a height where children can reach comfortably – typically 80-100cm from ground level for primary school age children. Younger children need lower positioning for easy access.

Choose locations with some weather protection when possible. Whilst the board handles rain exposure, mounting under play frame roofs or partial shelter extends its lifespan.

Educational Garden Feature

The Blackboard chalkboard with clock creates learning opportunities in outdoor play spaces. Children practice writing letters and numbers, draw pictures, play games like noughts and crosses, or work on simple maths problems. The outdoor setting makes learning feel like play rather than formal education.

Teachers use outdoor blackboards for nature lessons, allowing children to draw observations or record findings directly in the garden. Parents create treasure hunt clues or daily messages that children discover during outdoor play.

The combination of creative drawing space and time-telling practice makes this board more than simple entertainment. It supports multiple areas of child development whilst encouraging outdoor activity.
