Scalloped Lawn Edging That Bends to Fit Your Garden

Very few gardens are built in straight lines, which is exactly why flexible edging makes life easier. Our scalloped lawn edging follows the curve of a flower bed, a winding path or the edge of your lawn without any fuss. The scalloped top gives a soft, traditional look. At the same time, the solid rubber body holds its shape year after year.

Made From Recycled Car Tyres

Each length is made from old European car tyres that would otherwise end up in landfill. As a result, you get a hard-wearing edge with a smaller environmental footprint. The edging is also fully recyclable at the end of its life.

Why Choose Rubber Over Concrete or Timber?

Concrete edging looks well at first. However, it can crack in a hard frost or chip when the mower catches it. Timber, on the other hand, softens and rots in our damp Irish weather. Rubber avoids both problems. It flexes instead of breaking, so knocks and ground movement won’t damage it. It also doesn’t soak up water, which means there’s nothing to rot.

Colour That Lasts

The edging comes in two natural shades, Earth Brown and Grey. Both use a polyurethane-based colour, so the colour won’t rub off or wash out in the rain.

How to Install Scalloped Lawn Edging

Fitting the edging is a simple job for an afternoon. First, mark out your line with a garden hose or string. Next, cut a shallow trench along the edge of the bed. Then set the edging in place so the scallops sit at your preferred height. Finally, hammer the four fixing pins through the edging and into the ground to hold it firm.

If you need a shorter piece, a standard handsaw or chop saw will cut it cleanly.

FAQs

How many lengths do I need?
Measure the full edge you want to cover in metres and divide by 1.2. Round up, then add one extra length to allow for cuts. For example, a 10m border needs nine lengths, plus one spare.

Can I cut the edging to size?
Yes. A standard handsaw or chop saw will cut it cleanly, so you can finish neatly at corners and path edges.

Will it bend around curves?
Yes. The rubber is flexible, so it follows the shape of curved beds and winding paths easily.

Will the colour fade or rub off?
No. The edging uses a polyurethane-based colour that is colourfast, so it won’t wash out in the rain.

Can I use it around artificial grass?
Yes. It makes a neat, durable border between artificial grass and flower beds, gravel or paving.

Is there a guarantee?
Yes. The manufacturer offers a 3-year quality guarantee.
