U Channel

The U channel attaches directly to corner posts in the Durapost fencing system. It creates a secure channel that holds fence panels firmly as the fence line changes direction. The panels slide into the U channel and sit tight. As a result, you get a stable, well-aligned corner that holds its position through wind, rain, and the seasonal movement that affects outdoor structures in Ireland.

At Creative Landscaping Works, we stock the full Durapost accessory range. In fact, the U channel makes the difference between a fence that installs cleanly and one that becomes a headache after the first winter.

Will Not Warp or Crack — Built for Irish Conditions

Timber corner fittings struggle in Ireland’s climate. Moisture causes them to swell, warp, and crack — often within a few seasons. The Durapost U channel, by contrast, uses durable composite material that holds its shape regardless of temperature and rainfall. It will not warp or crack, so your fence corners stay straight and secure year after year. You also save time because the U channel needs no ongoing maintenance. That makes it a smart, long-term choice for fencing projects across Donegal and the North West.

Sized and Designed for the Durapost System

The U channel measures 52mm wide and 30mm deep, with a length of 1.8m. These dimensions match the Durapost panel thickness, so panels fit into the channel without gaps or movement. The U channel also works alongside Durapost corner posts, panels, gravel boards, capping rails, and post caps — so you can build a complete, coordinated installation in one order.

Two Colours for a Coordinated Finish

The U channel comes in two colours. Brown delivers a warm, natural tone that suits traditional properties, timber-effect panels, and gardens with heavy planting. Olive, on the other hand, gives a softer green-grey tone that works well alongside natural timber and more planted garden styles. Both colours coordinate with the wider Durapost range, so your corner fitting blends neatly into the overall fence line.
