Why Plastic Post Caps?

Exposed timber ends are vulnerable. End grain absorbs water faster than other surfaces. Irish rainfall means timber stays damp for extended periods.

Damp timber rots quickly. Playframes and structures can weaken after just a few years without protection. Replacing damaged timber is expensive and disruptive.

Post caps extend timber life significantly. They create a waterproof barrier. Your outdoor structures stay strong for years longer.

Perfect for Playframes

These Plastic Post Caps 95x95mm covers fit standard playframe posts. Climbing frames, swing sets, and multi-activity structures all use this timber size.

Protecting playframe posts is particularly important. Children’s safety depends on structural integrity. Water damage to playframe timber creates serious risks.

Cap posts during initial installation. The small extra cost prevents future timber replacement. Your children’s play equipment stays safe and solid.

Where to Use These Covers

These 95mm covers work on various outdoor timber structures:

• Playframe posts and beams
• Climbing frame uprights
• Pergola supports
• Garden fencing
• Gate posts
• Deck posts
• Arbour structures
• Raised bed corners
• Garden room frames

The covers suit any outdoor project using 95mm square section timber.

Installation

Fitting these caps takes seconds. Push them firmly onto the timber end. The internal dimensions grip wood securely.

No tools needed. No screws required. The cover stays in place through friction fit.

Install during construction or add them later. They work on fresh or weathered timber. Clean the post top for best grip.

Material and Finish

These covers use durable plastic. The material withstands Irish weather year-round. Sun, rain, and frost won’t damage them.

The black finish suits most outdoor designs. It looks professional on playframes and garden structures. The caps blend in rather than standing out.

Plastic won’t rust like metal alternatives. It’s lighter and easier to handle. The material requires no maintenance after fitting.

Protection Benefits

Water damage threatens outdoor timber. These caps provide simple, effective protection:

• Stop rainwater pooling on timber ends
• Prevent moisture penetrating wood grain
• Reduce frost damage in winter
• Keep timber dry and rot-free
• Extend structure lifespan
• Maintain playframe safety

Capped timber lasts significantly longer than exposed wood. The investment saves money on future repairs and replacements.

Sizing Information

These covers fit 95x95mm timber sections. Check your post dimensions before ordering. The internal measurement accommodates standard 95mm square timber.

Slightly undersized timber will still work. The cap grips wood from 93mm to 95mm effectively.

Safety Considerations

Regular inspection of playframe posts is essential. Caps help prevent water damage but don’t replace safety checks. Inspect timber annually for wear.

Check caps remain securely fitted. Replace any that work loose. Proper maintenance keeps playframes safe for children.
