Square Beam Seesaw Hand Grip – Stainless Steel | DIY Play Equipment Ireland

A stainless steel seesaw hand grip for square beam seesaws. Two mounting holes for straightforward fitting. Built to handle Irish outdoor conditions year-round.

The Right Grip for DIY Seesaw Builds

This square beam seesaw hand grip gives children a solid, secure hold as they ride. Because we make it from stainless steel, it resists rust and corrosion regardless of the weather. As a result, it suits outdoor play equipment across Ireland, where damp and rain put fittings to the test throughout the year.

We designed this grip specifically for square beams, so it sits flush and mounts cleanly on most standard DIY seesaw builds. Whether you build a seesaw from scratch or replace worn-out grips on an existing one, this fitting gives you a dependable, long-lasting result.

Why Stainless Steel Makes the Difference

Cheaper play fittings often use painted mild steel. That coating wears away over time, particularly in wet conditions, and then rust sets in quickly. Because we use stainless steel for this grip, it avoids that problem entirely. The material holds its finish and structural integrity through prolonged outdoor exposure, so you don’t need to treat, paint, or replace it after a season or two.

In addition, stainless steel stays smooth to the touch even after years outdoors. That matters on a seesaw, where children grip and release repeatedly during play. A grip that corrodes or develops rough edges creates a safety risk, so choosing stainless steel upfront removes that concern.
