Stontex Rapid Dry Stone Sealer

Unsealed paving absorbs stains and moisture. Oil marks from cars, water damage, and moss growth all shorten the life of your driveway or patio.

Stontex Rapid Dry Stone Sealer protects porous surfaces from these problems. This professional sealer creates an invisible barrier that repels oil and water whilst letting stone breathe naturally.

Why Seal Your Paving?

Natural stone and concrete are porous materials. They soak up liquids like a sponge. Car oil stains driveways. Water penetrates paving, causing frost damage during winter. Organic matter feeds moss and algae growth.

A quality sealer stops these issues before they start. It fills the tiny pores in stone surfaces. Liquids sit on top rather than soaking in. Your paving stays cleaner and lasts longer.

Irish weather makes sealing particularly important. Rain and damp conditions never stop. Traditional sealers need bone-dry surfaces before application. That’s almost impossible in our climate.

Moisture Tolerant Formula

Stontex Rapid Dry works differently. You can apply it to slightly damp surfaces. This is a game-changer for Irish properties.

The ethanol-based formula penetrates damp stone. It doesn’t need perfect conditions. Apply it after a dry morning, even if surfaces aren’t completely dry.

The sealer cures within a few hours. Rain won’t wash it away once it sets. You can seal a driveway in the morning and use it by evening.

What Surfaces Can You Seal?

This impregnating sealer works on most porous materials:

• Natural stone paving (sandstone, limestone, granite, slate)
• Block paving and patio slabs
• Concrete driveways
• Brick surfaces
• Rendered walls
• Interior stone floors

It’s suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Many customers use it on internal natural stone floors as well as external patios.

Application Guide

Clean the surface first. Remove dirt, moss, and stains. Let the area dry partially – it doesn’t need to be bone dry.

Apply Stontex Rapid Dry with a brush, roller, or sprayer. Work in manageable sections. The sealer soaks into the stone quickly.

One litre covers 10-15 square metres. Coverage depends on how porous your surface is. Rough stone uses more sealer than smooth slabs.

Apply two coats for best protection. Wait until the first coat dries before adding the second. The sealer is touch-dry within hours.

Protection Benefits

This sealer resists both oil and water-based stains. Driveways stay free from oil marks. Patios don’t absorb spilled drinks. Water beads on the surface rather than soaking in.

The breathable formula doesn’t trap moisture inside stone. This prevents frost damage and keeps stone healthy. Sealed surfaces are also easier to clean.
