Tobermore Shannon

Tobermore Shannon block paving is one of the most popular choices for Irish homeowners who want a step up from standard block paving without a dramatic increase in cost.

The difference is immediately obvious. Shannon’s smooth surface and precisely finished edges produce tight, close-fitting joints that make a driveway or path look considerably sharper than traditional rough-faced block paving. The result is a clean, contemporary appearance that holds up well on Irish properties — from modern new builds to older homes getting a driveway upgrade.

At Creative Landscaping Works, we supply Shannon regularly to homeowners and landscapers across Donegal and the North West. It consistently delivers a high-quality finish that clients are genuinely pleased with.

A Smooth Surface That Works for the Whole Family

Shannon’s smooth, flat surface makes it one of the most practical paving choices for family gardens. Children can play, cycle, and scoot across it comfortably. The tight joints leave little room for weeds to take hold. As a result, maintenance stays low year after year — which matters in Ireland’s climate.

The expertly finished edges are another key detail. Close-fitting joints reduce the gaps where moss and debris collect, so Shannon keeps its smart appearance with far less upkeep than paving with rougher surfaces.

Single Size or Duo — Choose Your Laying Pattern

Tobermore Shannon gives you two format options to suit your project.

Shannon Single uses one block size — 208 x 173 x 50mm — for a consistent, uniform pattern. This works well on driveways and paths where a clean, structured layout suits the property style.

Shannon Duo combines two sizes in a single pack — 208 x 173 x 50mm and 173 x 173 x 50mm. The mixed sizes create a more varied laying pattern with greater visual interest. Duo is particularly effective on larger driveways or patio areas where a single-size layout might look repetitive.

Both options use the same smooth surface finish, so quality is consistent across either format.

Five Colours for Every Property Style

Shannon comes in five vibrant, long-lasting colours that suit a wide range of Irish property styles.

Bracken delivers a warm, earthy brown tone. It pairs well with brick, natural stone, and traditional Irish properties. Charcoal is a bold, dark grey that suits contemporary builds with dark render or anthracite windows and doors. Heather sits between the two — a mid-tone grey-purple that works across both traditional and modern settings. Natural is a clean, light grey that gives a fresh, neutral finish to any driveway or patio. Slate is a deeper, cooler grey option for schemes where you want a strong, defined colour with a modern edge.

Each colour uses Tobermore’s long-lasting pigment technology, so Shannon retains its vibrancy through Ireland’s wet winters and bright summers.
