A seam is only as good as the glue holding it. If the bond fails, edges lift, joins open up and the whole lawn looks tired. Turfstikk PU500 gives you a strong, lasting bond, even when the weather turns mid-job. It’s designed to bond in all conditions, including wet ground and cool days. As a result, you can keep working when other adhesives would hold you up.

Tested to Sports Surface Standards

Turfstikk PU500 has been independently tested to EN 12228:2013. In those tests, it exceeded the bond requirements of the FIFA Quality Programme for football turf. In other words, it meets the same standard that sports pitch installers work to. That’s why it’s a popular choice for football pitches, padel courts and multi-use games areas, as well as home gardens.

Generous Working Time

Once mixed, you have around 40 minutes of pot life. That gives you plenty of time to spread the adhesive and position your grass without rushing. The adhesive then hardens within 5–8 hours and reaches full strength in about 24 hours.

How to Use Artificial Grass Adhesive

Start by laying your seam tape under the join, with the grass edges folded back. Next, pour Part B into Part A and mix thoroughly until the colour is even. Then spread the adhesive evenly over the seam tape with a notched trowel. Fold the grass edges back down onto the tape, butting them together neatly without trapping any fibres. Finally, press the seam down firmly and let it cure.

For best results, apply the adhesive at 5°C or above.

How much artificial grass adhesive do I need?
Measure the total length of all your seams. Each kilogram covers around 2 linear metres when used with 300mm seam tape. So a 6kg kit covers roughly 12 metres of seam, and a 15kg kit covers roughly 30 metres. We’d recommend allowing around 10% extra for waste.

Can I use Turfstikk PU500 in wet weather?
Yes. It’s designed to bond in all weather conditions, including damp days. That makes it a practical choice for Irish installations.

Can I use it in cold weather?
Yes, but apply it at 5°C or above. In cooler conditions, the adhesive takes longer to harden, so allow extra time before walking on the seams.

How long does it take to cure?
Once mixed, you have about 40 minutes to work with it. It then hardens within 5–8 hours and reaches full strength in around 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.

Should I mix the whole kit at once?
Each kit comes in the correct 10:1 ratio, so mixing the full kit is the simplest way to get it right. However, only mix as much as you can use within 40 minutes.

Yes. It has been independently tested to EN 12228:2013 and exceeds the FIFA Quality Programme bond requirements for football turf. It’s widely used on football pitches, padel courts and multi-use games areas.

Is it safe to use in enclosed spaces?
It’s solvent-free and low odour, which makes it more pleasant to use than solvent-based adhesives. However, always follow the manufacturer’s handling guidance and wear suitable PPE.
